Tip of the Week: Toys for Windows XP By J. D. BIERSDORFER

Toys are in great demand every holiday season, so why not some for Windows XP? It largely retired the system this year, but Microsoft still offers its free collection of PowerToys for Windows XP at snipurl.com/7nlqk. The PowerToy box includes Image Resizer (for changing picture sizes by right-clicking), a Taskbar Magnifier (to magnify part of the screen from the Windows Taskbar) and TweakUI — a utility for adjusting user-interface settings that Window XP normally hides. The PowerToys are only for Windows XP, but Vista owners can download the free basic TweakVI program at totalidea.com to customize many Vista settings.
